I’m Kaydence Gregory and I need help. I'm starting this fundraiser to help secure a safe, clean place to live after months of trying to hold everything together through an incredibly difficult situation.

I've been living with my 17-year-old sister, her infant daughter, and dog Vienna in an apartment that has become unlivable due to a severe roach infestation.

For safety reasons, my sister and her newborn have no longer been with me. They are currently safe and staying elsewhere. I'm here with my dog doing everything I can to keep things clean and afloat while I try to secure a new, safe place to live.

Despite trying everything within my power (store-bought treatments, bug bombs, sprays, deep cleaning) the problem has somehow only worsened.

I've been documenting the infestation for months, taking photos, videos, and gathering evidence. I've also spoken with several neighbors who have experienced the same issues and are willing to speak on it. I've asked for advice and legal recommendations on how to break my lease, but until then, I'm still here trying to stay safe and sane in an environment that's taken a major toll on me.

The stress has been unimaginable. I've lost sleep, battled anxiety, and felt constant fear for myself and my family. Feeling powerless in my own home has been devastating. All of this while still trying to attend college and maintain some kind of stability.

I'm not someone who asks for help easily; I've fought to solve this on my own, but at this point, we need a fresh start. If you can donate or even just share this, it would mean the world.

I'm asking for help to raise enough to cover:

• Baby-safe furniture and basic essentials
