Liz is starting this fundraiser for Kaydence, a 7th grader at Thompkins Middle School, and for Kaydence’s family as they face an unimaginable crisis. On September 1, Kady was hit by a school bus after school and suffered many serious injuries. She was rushed to Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where she now faces multiple surgeries and a long, difficult road to recovery. In an instant, this family’s world was turned upside down, and their focus right now is being by her side every step of the way.

Kaydence’s mom, Angie, and her siblings are with her at the hospital, 3 hours from home, as they support her through treatment and healing. Being so far away brings added burdens, including meals, travel, and mounting medical expenses. This fundraiser is meant to help ease some of that stress for Angie so the family can concentrate on what matters most: Kady’s care and recovery.
