Support Kaya in a Dream Opportunity

Hi community!!

Our wonderful friend Kaya has recently been accepted into their dream artist residency!! Such exciting news!

Many of you know Kaya as an artist, teacher, curator, nurturing friend, and beautiful spirit, and now they need some help! They have been accepted into Slow Residency in Turkey and we are raising funds to cover the cost of flights and the residency itself. 

Kaya is devoted to their community and can often be found bringing people together, whether that is through an art show, a gathering at home, or screening films for their loved ones and the broader community.

While they uphold a beautifully consistent practice of photography and multimedia works while balancing a full time teaching job; this opportunity would allow them to not only take a devoted period of time for practice, but to also be in conversation with fellow artists in an environment conducive to generating new works and new systems of making.

Financial break down:

Slow Residency: $1800

Round trip flight from Seattle to Turkey: approximately $1500
