I have an update on Katy’s situation. First of all, thank you to all the wonderful people who have been supporting Katy and our family. I’ve been hesitant to post an update because two hospitals opted not to do the surgery. We were feeling very discouraged. Two weeks ago, Katy was transferred to Stanford. After a lengthy evaluation and a surgery on her mouth, we were given the news that she is being put on the transplant list!! This is the first step in saving Katy’s life. She will continue to be at Stanford for the foreseeable future. She has been on dialysis for over a month. We will keep everyone updated. Please continue to keep her and our family in your prayers. 

Hello everyone. As many of you may know, my daughter, Katy, has been suffering from Stage 4 Cirrhosis/End stage liver failure since 2022. She is married to a wonderful man and has two adorable children, Rylee(10 )and Link (almost 5). They want nothing more than their mom to get healthy and to be able to be home with them. Their family also has 4 loving small dogs who miss her very much.

She is being evaluated again at the moment at CPMC here in SF, where the transplant would take place. Luckily her medical insurance will cover most of the cost for the actual surgery, but her and her husband, Justin, (my favorote son-in-law) will need to be able to cover costs for about a month to stay in an apartment within a mile of the hospital to be able to easily get to appointments (at least 3 per week) and in case she has any emergencies or complications. Donations will also help with food, transportation, toiletries/hygiene products, household supplies, etc.

Anything will truly help, a donation, prayer, just simply sharing this will help a ton. Our family is so grateful of all the love and support. We hope Katy can get her liver transplant soon and get get back to a more normal life. Thank you for taking the time to read this
