In November of this year, our family received life-changing news: my sister, Katy, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is only twenty-nine years old—way too young to be facing this battle. As devastating as this diagnosis was, Katy has approached it with incredible strength and determination. However, her journey ahead will not be easy, and she needs our love and support now more than ever.

Starting on December 20th, Katy will begin an intensive 20-week chemotherapy regimen to fight this disease head-on. 6 cycles every 21 days. Following chemo, she will undergo surgery to remove the cancer, and after that, multiple rounds of radiation therapy to ensure the cancer is completely eradicated. It’s a grueling process, but Katy is ready to face it with courage and resilience.

In addition to the physical and emotional toll, the financial burden of treatment is immense. Between medical bills, time away from work, and the added costs of care, the strain can feel overwhelming. As she battles this disease, we want her to focus on healing and being there for her little boy (Gideon), not on the mounting expenses.

Our family and I love our little sister/daughter/grand-daugher/cousin more than words can express. Watching her go through this has been heartbreaking, but her bravery inspires us every day. She means the world to us, and we're committed to doing everything we can to support her.
