HELP SAVE KATY’S CAT CHARITY CO! ❤️

Hi, I'm Ivy Thompson, and I'm launching this GoFundMe with one urgent mission: to help save Katy’s Cat Charity Co. from closing its doors at the end of October!

This beloved nonprofit needs our community's support, and we have just TWO WEEKS to make a difference! ❤️

Every donation, share, and visit matters. Here's how YOU can help:

DONATE! Every dollar brings us closer to keeping the doors open!

SHARE THIS GOFUNDME! Send it to friends, family, local businesses, and anyone who might be willing to help.

REPOST & SPREAD THE WORD! The more people we reach, the better our chances!

VISIT THE CAT CAFÉ! Stop by, spend time with the cats, and show your support in person!

❤️ TELL YOUR FRIENDS! Word of mouth is powerful, and our community can make a real difference, but only if they know!

⏰ OUR IMMEDIATE GOAL: $8,000 BY OCTOBER 31ST! Currently, we have raised $310 of that!

If we can raise $8,000 between October 17th and October 31st, Katy’s Cat Charity Co. can remain open for ONE MORE MONTH!

That's one more month to continue this mission, welcome visitors, and work toward a long-term solution.

OUR LONG-TERM GOAL: SAVE KATY'S FOR GOOD!

We're also searching for an investor or financial partner who believes in this mission and can help keep this nonprofit financially sustainable for years to come! ❤️

THE CLOCK IS TICKING, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW!

Whether you can donate $5, share this fundraiser, visit the café, or connect us with someone who can help, your support could make all the difference.

Let's come together and give Katy’s Cat Charity Co. the future it deserves! ❤️

DONATE. SHARE. SPREAD THE WORD. LET'S SAVE KATY'S!

Way more details:

Katy’s Cat Cafe (KCC) has reached a critical moment, and we urgently need our community’s help. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, their mission is to help stray and surrendered cats find loving forever homes while educating the community about rescue, fostering, and compassionate animal care.

Local animal shelters are facing unprecedented levels of overcrowding, which makes rescue organizations like KCC more important than ever. By stepping in when shelter capacity is limited, KCC serves as a vital safety net, preventing cats from becoming further caught in an overwhelmed system while giving them the individualized care and attention they need to thrive. Our work therefore extends beyond the cats directly in our care: when KCC takes in a foster, it creates space and opportunity for the broader local rescue community to continue saving lives.

But to continue being that resource for our community, KCC needs immediate financial support to carry us through the coming months. As local shelters face unprecedented overcrowding, the need for rescue partners who can take in, rehabilitate, and rehome cats has never been greater. KCC plays an important role in helping meet that need, but we cannot do it without your help.

Your donation will help preserve a crucial local resource for rescued animals who might otherwise have nowhere to go. Supporting KCC means helping us continue to take pressure off overcrowded shelters and give vulnerable cats the compassion they need to thrive.

We are asking our community to come together now, while there is still time to ensure KCC can continue this work. Every contribution, large or small, can make a direct difference. If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign can be just as valuable.

Help us keep saying ‘yes’ to the cats who need us, and keep KCC here for the community that needs us, too.

Your support will directly contribute to their vital work, helping them rescue more cats and ensure they receive the medical attention they deserve. Every donation counts and brings us closer to a brighter future for these animals.

We actively seek out potential adopters.

• We build lasting relationships by getting to know our cats and understanding potential adopters’ needs.

• We provide food, litter, toys, treats, bedding, and shelter

• We create job opportunities for the Sarasota community and entrust cat care to people passionate about our mission

• We host community events to increase visibility and foster connections between the community and our cats

• We serve as a community hub where local businesses and artists can showcase and benefit from their work

• We provide overflow shelter, accommodating and rehabilitating five stray cats and two senior cats who were rejected by rescues due to capacity constraints

Join us in making a positive impact. Together, we can create a better world for these deserving cats. Thank you for your generosity!
