Support Katy to run a marathon!

On 27th April this year, on the stroke of midnight, I will be running 26.2 miles in my hometown of Letchworth.
The systems in this country are in crisis and the support that people need for mental health issues is just not there. Prescribing medication is not the answer but sadly becoming the only option given to most.
The Flawed Hero Movement came onto my radar last year after moving to Letchworth. Set up by a local resident, the movement is about raising awareness around the importance of creating a shared sense of belonging, as a way of supporting mental wellness, through movement and exercise. As well as organising regular meet ups, the Flawed Hero Marathon was set up last year and described as ‘the people’s marathon’ . The aim is not about getting the best time but to move as a collective with an emphasis on inclusivity and I’m hoping it’s going to be fun too!
As well as raising money for The Flawed Hero Charity the event will also be raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Any amount of money donated will be greatly appreciated . Fingers crossed my right hip and knees continue to co operate !
