My name is Cory Harrison, I am raising funds for my friend Katherine aka. "Katy" Bailey who has worked for me for awhile. She is a single mom supporting her daughter while she’s in nursing school and she has four rescue beagles that depend on her.

She was doing well at my company, spent the last several months learning how to sell audio gear and had been thriving recently, but suddenly Monday morning on June 2 she had a stroke. Speech impairment, difficulty writing, expressive aphasia like difficulty expressing thoughts, etc. She went to the ER and was admitted. While in the hospital she had 2 TIA’s (mini strokes) and is also being treated for hypertension, plus neurology and cardiology specialists are on the case.

She doesn't know the full extent of things yet. Tests so far have been EKG, ECG, EEG, Echo, 2 CT Scans, one with and one without contrast, 4 MRI’s, two with and two without contrast, having to wear a continuous heart monitor, had multiple lab draws, with more to come.

As if that wasn't enough, while in the hospital she found out she has a congenital heart condition called a Bicuspid Aortic Valve, which means she is supposed to have three heart valves but only has two due to two being fused together. One of those valves is leaking and needs to either be repaired or replaced. More testing will have to be done to determine that.

The financial burden of admittance, tests, probable rehab, specialists, etc., will be heavy. Katy has a big heart and her dogs and daughter depend on her. She is one of the few friends I have in real life so it pains me to see her in this condition. If you could find it in your heart to help out during this difficult time, it would be appreciated.
