Hi, my name is Kat Martinez, and I’m raising funds for my mom, who was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

My mom has always been the life of the party—full of energy, incredibly social, and always the first one on the dance floor. She has a way of bringing people together and making everyone feel loved and welcome.

As a single mother, she raised three children on her own. She’s always been strong, independent, and selfless, giving everything she had to make sure we were okay. She’s spent her life showing up for others.

Watching her go from that vibrant, lively person to not being able to walk has been one of the most heartbreaking experiences of my life. Right now, she’s slowly working to regain her mobility, taking things day by day and showing the same strength she’s always had—just in a different way.

Because of her condition, we recently had to move into an apartment that better supports her needs, as where we were living before was no longer sustainable. I’m currently working part-time while also helping care for her and taking her to appointments, and financially, things have become overwhelming.

Between medical care, transportation, rent, and everyday living expenses, we could really use support during this time.

If you know my mom, you know how much love she has given to others. I truly believe she deserves to receive that same love and support now.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her care and helping us stay stable while she continues her fight and recovery.

Mi mamá siempre ha sido el alma de la fiesta—llena de energía, muy sociable, y siempre la primera en salir a bailar. Tiene una manera especial de unir a las personas y hacer que todos se sientan queridos y bienvenidos.

Como madre soltera, crió a sus tres hijos por su cuenta. Siempre ha sido fuerte, independiente y desinteresada, dando todo de sí para asegurarse de que nosotros estuviéramos bien. Ha pasado su vida apoyando a los demás.

Verla pasar de ser una persona tan alegre y llena de vida a no poder caminar ha sido una de las experiencias más dolorosas de mi vida. En este momento, poco a poco está tratando de recuperar su movilidad, avanzando día a día y demostrando la misma fortaleza de siempre—solo que de una manera diferente.

Debido a su condición, recientemente tuvimos que mudarnos a un apartamento que se adapta mejor a sus necesidades, ya que donde vivíamos antes ya no era sostenible para ella. Actualmente trabajo medio tiempo mientras también la cuido y la llevo a sus citas médicas, y económicamente la situación se ha vuelto muy difícil.

Entre los gastos médicos, transporte, renta y necesidades básicas, realmente necesitamos apoyo en este momento.

Si conoces a mi mamá, sabes cuánto amor ha dado a los demás. De verdad creo que ahora ella merece recibir ese mismo amor y apoyo.

Cualquier donación, sin importar la cantidad, será destinada directamente a su cuidado y a ayudarnos a mantener estabilidad mientras ella continúa su lucha y recuperación.
