On June 20, Tatiana Ponomar’s world changed in an instant. Her 11-year-old daughter, Kat, was involved in a serious bicycle accident while crossing a sidewalk near their home and was hit by a driver who chose not to stop. She is now in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.

As many of you know, Tatiana is a birth doula who has spent years pouring her heart into caring for others. She has supported countless families through some of their most vulnerable and life-changing moments, always showing up with compassion, strength, and generosity. Now, she is facing one of the hardest moments of her own life.

Tatiana is a devoted single mother, and right now her only place is by Kat’s side. The days, weeks, and months ahead will be focused on supporting Kat through what will likely be a long recovery journey. This fundraiser is intended to help ease the financial burden and allow Tatiana to step away from work so she can be fully present for her daughter without the added stress of lost income.

Above all, we are asking for prayers. Please pray for Kat—that her young body would heal, that she would regain strength, and that she would be surrounded by the best possible care. Pray for Tatiana as she navigates all that is to come with every parent’s worst nightmare. And pray for their family as they take this journey one day at a time.
