I never thought I’d find myself writing one of these, but life has thrown another curveball my way. I was in a car accident that left my vehicle completely totaled. Thankfully, I walked away without serious injuries — but losing my car has been a huge setback.

My car wasn’t just a way to get to work or run errands; it was also how I transported foster animals to vet appointments, adoption events, and new homes. Helping rescue animals find their second chance has been such a big part of my life and healing over the last couple of years. Without a car, it’ll be nearly impossible to continue this work.

I’m also still rebuilding my life after starting over just two years ago. Every step forward has taken time, courage, and a lot of heart — and this accident feels like another unexpected hurdle. Unfortunately, insurance won’t cover enough for me to replace my car with something safe and reliable, so I’m reaching out for a little help to get back on the road.

With my birthday coming up soon, I’m hoping this fundraiser can also serve as a fresh start — a way to celebrate by moving forward again. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward purchasing a used vehicle and covering necessary costs like registration and taxes.
