Support Katrina's Recovery and New Beginning

Katrina turned 31 on Sunday. She also became the victim of a brutal attack. While Katrina was lying in bed, her husband Elijah Thomas viciously attacked her. Earlier that afternoon, Katrina called Albany Police Department as Elijah threw a mop at the back of her head. Unfortunately, they did nothing. A mere 4 hours later, this man grabbed a knife and stabbed Katrina over 10 times. She was stabbed in her breast, torso, leg, hands. As if that is not horrific enough, Katrina’s 9-year-old son woke up and witnessed this attack. Her 9- & 6-year-old were forever changed as they saw the scene with their mommy and all the blood. Katrina has already undergone 2 surgeries, unknown if there will be more. Katrina will at the very least need physical therapy as well as emotional for her and her boys.

This unfortunate occurrence has been on the news with lots of comments being made. Let’s be clear about one thing. Domestic Violence is never the answer. Katrina will tell you herself she is no princess; however, it did not need to come to this. There was zero reason to physically attack someone. Let’s help Katrina and her boys recover. Together we can take one thing off her mind while her and her children heal. I'm her older sister and I'm forever grateful she is still here and I see things like this all the time and can't imagine it happening to my family. Another reason I'm starting this is because my little sister and her boys need to be able to move. This apartment is to much for her right now. I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE IN ADVANCE AND SAY HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE EVERYTHING!
