Help Me, Katrina Wilkerson, Fight Leukemia and Support My Family

On May 20, 2025, I wasn’t feeling well and left work early to go the doctor, expecting to be given antibiotics. Instead, I was told I have Leukemia and my world turned upside down. While doctors are still determining the exact type and severity, they’re treating it as aggressive to make sure I get the urgent care I need. I was immediately transported to a more specialized facility and will be hospitalized at Duke University Hospital, over two hours from home, for at least a month as I begin this unexpected and difficult journey.

I’m a proud mother of three amazing boys: Ethan (15), Bentley (14), and Jo (10). My life revolves around them — I love fishing with them, cooking meals we can enjoy together, and filling our home with laughter. I’ve always worked full-time to provide for them, but this diagnosis has changed everything. I can’t work right now, and am worried about losing the home we share since I have no income during this time. But the hardest part is being separated from my sons when we all need each other the most.

Bentley is graduating from 8th grade on June 5th, and both Ethan and Jo have birthdays in June. Missing these milestones breaks my heart, but I’m holding onto hope and staying strong for them.My brother and his wife, as well as a few great friends are stepping in to care for the boys and help bring them to visit me while I’m in treatment.

I’m asking for help during this overwhelming time — not just for me, but for my boys. Donations will help with:

• Travel expenses so my children and brother can visit me

• Medical bills that aren’t covered by insurance

• Household bills, including rent, while I’m unable to work

• Basic needs and support for my kids during my treatment
