Katrina was a devoted mother to three sons, ages 24, 20, and 16. She was the heart of her family, always caring for her loved ones, especially her mother, Alfreda, who often relied on Katrina for support during times of illness. Katrina’s warmth and kindness touched not only her immediate family but also her aunt, extended relatives, and many friends who cherished her deeply.

Katrina’s family has a proud legacy of service and resilience in the Lilly and Cordele, Georgia area. Her grandfather, Alex Gamble, served as Deputy Sheriff in Dooly County, Georgia during the 1970s and 1980s. He was the first Black individual to hold this high-ranking position in the county, breaking barriers and serving the community with distinction. This legacy continues to inspire and strengthen the family during this difficult time, and their roots in Lilly and Cordele have always been a source of pride and connection for them.

On December 9, 2025, Katrina passed away, leaving her family and community heartbroken. The loss has been especially hard for her mother, Alfreda, who now faces the unimaginable task of saying goodbye to her daughter. In addition to their grief, the family is now confronted with the significant costs of funeral arrangements and related expenses.
