Support Katrina Severin as she rebuilds her practice

Dear friends and community, I am humbly asking you all for your help as I navigate the financial hardship of getting through the setbacks imposed by the Oregon state licensing board's disciplinary process and the resulting financial fallout. As many of you know, I forgot to pay my license renewal fee to the board back in July when I turned in my hours and supervision report, and unknowingly practiced without a license for four months before realizing my mistake. This resulted in the board launching an investigation and disciplinary action against me, having to pause my clinical work for two months, and Care Oregon (my main source of clients and income) terminating my contract and issuing a nearly $25k overpayment, further causing me to lose my entire caseload and burying me in debt. I am not eligible for unemployment insurance due to being self employed, and my professional liability insurance does not cover lost income resulting from "practicing without a license." I have managed to limp along this whole time by using up what little credit I have and by borrowing a small amount from a friend, as well as various small cash donations and volunteering for the Oregon food bank where I get a free box of food each week. I am currently working on getting referrals and contract work through a group practice, but I need help in order to continue paying my bills while I build a new caseload (the group practice estimated it could be up to four months before they're able to get me to a full caseload) and adjust to a dramatically reduced (-50%) income. All money raised will go to rent, utilities, my car payment, food and medication for my cats, and various household/personal supplies. Any amount you're able to offer would make a huge difference and will give me the necessary cushion I need to recover from this devastating series of events.
Thank you for your love and support. Asking for help does not come naturally for me, but this experience has forced me to push past many limiting beliefs about my worth and my place in community, and to humbly trust that support is available if I can believe that I'm worthy of receiving it. I love you all and am deeply grateful for any amount you can spare.
