Katlyn Mitchell is someone that gives so much of herself to helping others. She is a nurse in the NICU, EMT, firefighter, mom, daughter, fiance and sister. Now she is faced with being the patient!!
Her and her family were in a car accident on May 3rd. Fortunately Bub and most importantly her son Landen escaped with only some bumps and seat belt bruises. Katlyn unfortunately took the blunt of the accident which required her to be cut out of the vehicle. The accident caused a broken femur, shattered forearm and severe concussion. She had surgery for both and is doing well. At this point she has a long road of recovery. While she recovers she will be unable to work.
The other driver was from Canada, so with different insurances, policies and laws we are unsure how things are going to play out.
