No parent should ever have to sit beside their child’s hospital bed, unsure of what comes next—but that’s where my sister is right now.

My sister, Katla, is one of the strongest people I know, yet she’s facing something no parent should ever have to go through alone.

Her youngest child, Calloway, is currently in the hospital battling heart issues, RSV, and pneumonia. Watching your child fight to get better is every parent’s worst nightmare, and she hasn’t left their side through it all.

At the same time, she’s doing everything she can to continue caring for and supporting her three other children—on a single income. Because she’s been unable to work while staying with Calloway, the financial strain has quickly become overwhelming.

This past year has already been incredibly difficult for her and her family, yet she continues to show up every day with strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her kids.

I’m setting up this fundraiser to help ease some of that burden—so she can focus on what matters most: being there for her child.
