Help Our Friend Katie with Medical Expenses!

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to ask for support for our friend Katie, a UC San Diego student pursuing her degree in Marine Biology.

Katie is currently facing aggressive melanoma in her leg that has grown beyond the size her doctors are comfortable with. She needs medical treatment as soon as possible, but unfortunately, she is currently uninsured and facing the financial burden of getting the care she needs.

Katie is a daughter, a friend, a dedicated student, and someone who gives back to her community through volunteer work, including neighborhood trash cleanups.

Katie is also pursuing research through the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where she studies regenerative coral and works toward healthier, more resilient ocean ecosystems. She has dedicated herself to protecting the environment and giving back to her community, and now she needs our community to show up for her.
