Please help us in support of Katie’s kids

It has been just over a week since we had to hear of life changing news. The loss of Katie Lynn Powers, a proud mother, daughter, dear friend, and local business owner. It is during these times of uncertainty that we call upon each other to spread love and share support. Katie possessed a kind, thoughtful, giving heart, and was always willing to help those around her. She had a way with people that allowed her to connect almost instantly to those whom she crossed paths with. Her unconditional love was felt by many and was made clear to us over the last 8 days as many have asked what they can do to help. Katie’s two children meant the world to her and It was the love she had for them that gave her purpose and the drive to pursue her dream in the opening of her own business, Moonlit Studios. She had a true passion for her career as a licensed professional body piercer and her ability to connect with clients on a professional yet personal basis kept her schedule consistently full. For that I’d like to extend a thank you to all of those that patronized Moonlit Studios as it brought true joy to Katie to have continued success despite her location, business name, or affiliation. Today we are asking for help to cover expenses related to celebrating the life of Katie but most importantly we would like to support her two beloved children as they navigate a new normal with out their mom. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support but we also ask that you respect the privacy of her family as they process this immense loss. In Katie’s honor we ask that you never give up on those you love for we never gave up on her and she never gave up on us.
