I’m organizing this GoFundMe for my sister Katie.

On April 1st she woke up with the worst headache she had ever had. She could barely move or talk without an enormous amount pain. Her daughter called 911 and she was taken to a local hospital. We were told she had a brain aneurysm and bleeding on her brain and that she needed to be air-lifted to a hospital more equipped to handle her medical emergency. After some testing the doctors informed us that she did not have an aneurysm but that she had suffered a spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (a type of stroke caused by bleeding into the brain).

She has been through multiple tests with several to come in the near future. We have unfortunately found out that her short term disability isn’t going to help much, so I have started this GoFundMe in hopes that we can raise enough money to help her financially stay afloat during the time she will be required to be out of work.

Katie has a long road ahead of her but she has an amazing support system and amazing children not to mention she’s a fighter and she's one of the strongest women I’ve ever known.
