Support Katie's Medical and Service Dog Journey

Hello, my name is Katie and I’m a 22 year old who just finished college. I’m raising funds for medical bills and service dog training as I’ve spent the last 3 years in and out of several doctors' offices and labs to go through diagnosing several chronic disabilities that have left me unable to function like a normal person would. I’m also trying to train my own service dog in the process of all this which has been an expense in its own between vet bills, food, and training.

I used to be a relatively healthy person until I started high school which is when my life had slowly started changing where I would be sick most of the year and push myself to the point of having difficulty standing. I have numerous medical issues from major psychiatric to heart rate issues to possible autoimmune issues which have gotten worse over the years.

I have a full time job, and love to hang out with friends and have game night or go to Disney. Unfortunately, my body doesn’t always agree with me which is why I wanted to train my own service dog. This has proven to be increasingly difficult with the onset of multiple more symptoms ranging from mild to severe. Some days I can be bedridden and some days I can get severe migraines to the point of getting sick or risk of passing out. This has led me to have to go to multiple doctors frequently along with numerous medications, labs, and imaging which can be extremely expensive even with insurance.
