Hi, it's Katie and I'm here to ask for your support in pursuing my dream of becoming a published author :) As you might know, I was laid off in November of 2023 in all the Nike chaos. I tried to jump right back in with a different agency, but was laid off again in March of 2024 and finally Mike, my partner, told me to use this as an opportunity. An opportunity to reset, try and recover from extreme burnout, and finally pursue my passion: writing.
It is such a gift to have his support and blessing to chase after this dream, but it's also very scary and unknown! It's the first time in my entire professional career that I don't have a regular biweekly paycheck, or really any paycheck until I get this book sold So that's why I'm here! I'm hoping that you can help me float my boat until I sign an agent.
What does support mean? Where would your donation go? It means I have monthly expenses related to writing, editing, and crafting this book! Some examples of where your donation goes includes: printing my book for edits, sending my manuscript out to my editor ( a seven times NY Times Best-Selling author! ), and any other supplies I need ( can't tell you how many highlighters and pens I'm blowing through ). As a mama of two little girls, I also have the additional stress of getting childcare, so this will help me take care of my babies and me <3
What can I expect in return? In return I'm hoping to gift you a few different things! The first is my deep gratitude and thanks for helping me pursue this career in writing and, most critically, helping to support my family during this uncertain time! The other things are more fun ;)

When is this book going to happen? Will it really get published? Come hell or high water this thing is getting published. I'm determined to get an agent so that I can get picked up by one of the big five publishing houses. If that doesn't work, then I'll move forward with self-publishing :) So either way, yes! This thing will happen! I've got books two and three in the works too, so more to come.
