Hello my name is Gennady, Katie's husband. I have known and loved Katie since High School. We've would have celebrated our 16th anniversary next month, along with our son's 10th birthday. As many of you know, Katie was an amazing person, unable to turn down someone in need. She was a force to be reckoned with if you stood in her way, and she was a guardian angel for those who needed a saving grace. Her journey was abruptly cut short due to complications with Type 1 Diabetes on August 23rd, this horrible disease was something she struggled with for a while now. She will never been forgotten, she will always be loved, her journey will continue through her son and her loved ones.

Memorial service was held on August 29th and funeral will be held on August 30th.
