Hi! My name is Miriam (Mimi) Bolen. I am raising funds for a lifelong friend, Katie Watson. Most people in our town know her. She has been dealt a devastating blow by being diagnosed with stage 4 carcinoma, liver cancer. She is unable to work. She was diagnosed after going to the emergency room for pain in her side. Very aggressive cancer. No surgery options. She has a mass on her liver, a large mass on her lung, and other spots on her lungs. They are checking to see if it started as metastatic breast cancer. She is a mom and grandmother. They have given her one year to live without treatment and if her body tolerates Taxol chemotherapy treatments, one to two years to live.
