Support Katie Rose's Battle Against Stage 4 Breast Cancer
Donation protected
We are raising funds for my sister-in-law Katie (Nielsen) Rose, who has just been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She is 34 years old and was originally diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer back in February of 2023. She battled through chemo, surgery, and radiation and was given a clean bill of health last Christmas.
Unfortunately, she started having vision issues in August, and after reconstructive surgery and finally being able to get MRIs and CT scans, they found that it has metastasized to her brain, lungs, liver, and adrenal gland. She has a tough battle ahead and really will have to battle this for the rest of her life.
She has had some issues with the care that she is currently receiving already, and they are scheduled to get a second opinion at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, with it being one of the best cancer centers in the U.S. With that being said, the cost of travel and treatment is going to stack up quickly for her and her family, as well as the time that she will have to spend away from work. On top of this, they are currently trying to overcome roughly $25,000 - $30,000 in medical bills from her original fight with cancer, reconstructive surgery, and discovery of the metastatic breast cancer.
She has three kids, Ryker (14), Boston (11), Patrick (8), and her husband Spencer, whom she has been with for the last seven years, and we are hoping to help them out with any donation possible so that she can be with her family and friends for many more years to come.
We will accept and are grateful for any size donation that can help her in this fight. Anything that you can afford to donate would be much appreciated. We are hoping to reach $50,000 to start, in order to help take care of travel, treatment, time away from work, and potentially new cancer clinical trials and mental/holistic cancer retreats. We are hoping to bless and help lighten the burden for Katie and her family by taking care of some of their financial stresses so that they can focus on being together and getting her healthy.
Again, any donation is greatly appreciated. We love all of you and at the very least ask for your thoughts and prayers as they fight this battle.
