Support Katie in Her Time of Need, after the Loss of Her Mom

Hi all, my name is Chelsea Moody and I'm fundraising for Katie Adams. Katie lost her mom, Anita Adams, suddenly on Friday, June 14. Anita is a cousin to my husband, Bobby, and a lifelong friend of my family. She is also a child of God and dear sister in the Lord, loved by many, a wonderful Godly example of a woman, always loving and kind. For many years she was a song leader and piano player at her church. She was a 3-time graduate of ISU, who recently retired from her career there as an Administrative Assistant since 1983 after having some health complications due to a stroke. Her husband (Katie's dad) passed away too soon 19 years ago, and her only son (Katie's brother, Jason) tragically passed in 2018. Katie and her mother were all that was left of their immediate family and they were very close and devoted to each other, sharing a home together.

With Anita's death being unexpected, even just a few days before she passed, Katie was not left prepared to take on the expenses of their home. Anita's bank account is frozen, and Katie won't have access to it for 45 days. Anita's pension and social security will cease, so that will be a a big loss of income that helped support their home. Katie has a lot of things she's figuring out, but we are taking it one day and a time. At the moment, we are asking for financial help for Katie to be able to stay current on the bills in the next couple of months as she gets things sorted out.

We know the Lord will make a way and provide for her needs. He often uses people to help. If you are able, we appreciate any and all donations. No amount is too small. It all adds up. I personally am a testament to this.

In the days and months to come, please pray for Katie, as she grieves. She has endured so much loss. We thank the Lord for being by her side through it all. I know many hearts are broken for Katie and the loss of our dear friend.
