Support Katie Gill's Battle Against Tongue Cancer

At the end of June, my dear friend and beloved teacher to many, Katie Gill, learned that she had cancer again. Thankfully, this is NOT a spread of her breast cancer from 2.5 years ago. This time, the cancer is in her tongue. She has had many tests, scans, and appointments to determine the extent of the cancer and if it has spread. Katie will be getting the mass on her tongue removed on Thursday, July 18th. During this time, lymph nodes in her neck will also be biopsied and tested for metastasis. The outcome of this surgery will dictate further treatment.

This has been a very anxious time mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. If you are able, please consider donating to help her with costs that arise despite having excellent medical insurance. More importantly, please send prayers and positive vibes that the cancer is contained and can be fully removed. Her daughter Molly, who is one of my daughter's best friends, is having a great summer despite knowing the cancer drill.
