You know her; you love her; she needs your help.

On January 13th, our dear Katie Blue, aka Katherine Karakas, slipped on ice and fell, breaking her ankle. Never one to half-ass anything, her doctors were impressed by just how thoroughly her ankle was busted, using the word "obliterated." Impressive, no?

She had to have complex surgery on January 22nd, and she remains laid up for the foreseeable future. As someone who works cleaning homes and catering in kitchens, laboring under capitalism for our babe just isn't possible. Luxuries such as rent and food are thus feeling very challenging at this time. She'll be out of work and recovering for weeks, and incurring medical costs to boot (pun intended).

We set the goal at something minimal for now, hoping to just get basics covered. As medical expenses become more clear, we may need to ask for more. In the meantime, any little bit helps. Please share far and wide, even if you can't contribute. Let's take care of this beautiful human in her moment of need.
