Update:

Katie is now entering round four of chemotherapy as part of her ongoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This next phase is intense and will require additional time in the hospital, continued monitoring, and recovery away from home.

Following this round of treatment, her medical team will assess its full effectiveness later this spring. While this waiting period brings uncertainty, our family remains grounded in faith, prayer, and hope.

Jon and Katie continue to be deeply grateful for every donation, meal, message, and prayer. Your support has carried them through each step of this process and allows them to focus on healing without the added burden of financial stress.

We are asking for prayers and support for Jon and Katie Barr as they walk through Katie’s recent diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Katie has spent her life serving others through teaching American Sign Language at Hoquiam High School, loving her church community, and caring deeply for her family. Now she and Jon are facing a season of challenge and change as she begins intensive treatment, including extended hospital stays and ongoing medical care away from home.
