I’m raising funds for Katie and Ellie after a devastating act changed their lives. When Ellie was 8 months old, Katie was at work when Katie’s ex-husband shook Ellie so severely that she became non-responsive and had to be intubated. She suffered brain hemorrhages and retinal hemorrhages, has been diagnosed with blindness, and now requires a feeding tube.

Due to these injuries, Ellie now has ongoing special needs. Katie needs to get her to multiple doctor and physical therapy appointments each week, and Ellie's care continues to affect their daily lives in a major way. Katie is doing everything she can for her child, but because of the time and care this requires, she has not been able to work enough to cover their monthly needs, even with assistance programs and help from family.

Donations will help with the costs that keep continuing month after month, including housing, transportation to medical appointments, and medical bills that insurance does not cover. Any and all donations to help them navigate this difficult time are deeply appreciated.
