Support Katie: A Journey of Healing and Hope

As many of you are aware, my dear sister Katie recently experienced a harrowing incident involving a dog attack. This unprovoked attack resulted in a life-threatening situation that necessitated her being airlifted to Boston for urgent medical attention. Upon her arrival, medical professionals discovered multiple extensive injuries to both her right and left hands. These injuries have resulted in significant paralysis, requiring Katie to undergo an additional surgery to repair the damaged nerves. The journey to recovery will be long and filled with challenges, as she’ll need rehabilitation. This is compounded by severe bites on her neck that required 69 rabies shots.

Our family is incredibly grateful that this incident did not take Katie away from us or her beautiful children, Grace and Logan. However, the consequences of this attack are profound. Katie is now facing the daunting challenge of rehabilitation and the potential need for future surgeries.

Despite this traumatic ordeal, Katie remains resilient; she is a loving mother to Grace and Logan and has been tirelessly working to rebuild her life as a single mother. However, her injuries have left her unable to work, and the financial burden of medical bills, rent, food, and daily expenses is overwhelming.
