Update on my aunt's Katia Hernandez recovery Journey As many of you know, my aunt underwent lumbar fusion surgery in July. While we hoped for a smooth recovery, her active Lupus has made healing incredibly difficult. Due to complications, her doctors have now recommended that she begin chemotherapy immediately to manage her Lupus symptoms and support her post-surgery recovery. This has been a physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming time for her. She will be unable to return to work for at least another six weeks, and the medical expenses continue to grow.
