Dear Family and Friends,
I'm reaching out today with a humble and deeply personal request. After receiving a
"good faith estimate" from the hospital, I learned that my portion of the medical costs will be $10,000. On top of that, I've sadly exhausted all of my Paid Time Off, which means I'll be out of work with no income during my recovery.
About a month ago, I started to have some symptoms in my body that I needed to have checked out by a physician. After an abdominal ultrasound, the doctor found a mass on my ovary. Subsequent testing was performed and the concern is malignancy. Surgery has been scheduled for June 11th.
This is where your compassion and generosity come in. To be entirely honest, this is one of the most vulnerable, emotional, and difficult things I've ever had to do. Asking for help in such a personal way feels overwhelming, humbling, and, truthfully, even a bit embarrassing. Who ever wants to admit that they can't do it all on their own?
But life has a way of reminding us that we're not meant to walk through our hardest seasons alone.
I've wrestled deeply with this decision-praying, reflecting, and waiting for peace.
And now, with faith and courage, I'm choosing to share my need, both financially and
simply sharing my story-means the absolute world to me.
Your kindness will help cover my medical expenses and support me through daily living costs during this incredibly challenging time.
Thank you, truly, for taking the time to read my message and consider standing with me. Your love and care lift my spirit more than words can express.
With gratitude and much love,
Kathleen Hirsch.
