With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Kathy Doel, who left this world on June 19, 2025, in her Redondo Beach, California home. Her most cherished companion, her beloved dog Scarlet, was lovingly by her side.

Kathy was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on May 7, 1972. She was the daughter of the late Pauline (Marcoux) Doel and is survived by her father, Paul Doel, and his wife, Jean. She was the eldest of six siblings—survived by her sisters Cristina Welch (Robert), Sabrina Doel, and April Pinheiro (Mitch). She was predeceased by her brother, Paul J. Doel II (PJ), and her sister Nicole Doel.

Kathy was a free spirit with an adventurous soul. Her life was a vibrant journey that took her from Martha's Vineyard to St. Thomas, Vail, Montclair, Miami, Cambridge, Hermosa Beach, and finally to Belmont Shore and Redondo Beach. The ocean called to her, reflecting the rhythm of her wild and beautiful heart.

Her magnetic presence, radiant smile, and bold, loving spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Kathy lived life on her own terms—fearlessly, joyfully, and with deep passion.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help the surviving sisters honor Kathy’s life and legacy. Donations will go toward bringing Kathy home to Massachusetts, memorial arrangements, and helping her family navigate this difficult time.
