Support Kathy's Recovery and Medical Expenses

On August 26th, during a Pilates class, our Mom started to experience symptoms of a stroke. She was taken to the hospital where they discovered a brain bleed. She had emergency surgery to stop the bleed and after 14 days in the hospital she began her road to recovery in a rehabilitation hospital. As a result of the stroke our Mom has significant left-side weakness that will require extensive rehab. It is unclear what the next stages of this journey will be but we know our Mom has a long road ahead to recovery.

 

This has been one of the most challenging times of our lives as it's been a roller-coaster of fear, anxiety and exhaustion for all of us. We can't stand to watch our Mom in pain and can't fully process why this has happened to our beautiful, caring and healthy mother.

 

After several offers of financial support we have decided to open the opportunity to make donations. The money raised will be used to cover medical expenses, medical equipment, potential modifications to her home and/or rehab expenses not covered by insurance.
