Hello, my name is Kathy Jenkins, though some of you know me as Renee. For many years, I have served as a musician and Pastor in the Birmingham area, dedicating my life to serving the Lord and my community. On June 11, 2025, my life changed dramatically when I was involved in a tragic auto accident. I sustained a traumatic brain injury and multiple physical injuries, spending three and a half weeks in a coma and on life support. Through the power of prayer and the grace of God, I began to recover, and after several months in rehab, I am now preparing for the next step in my healing journey. Two weeks ago, my cousin took me to church, and I was able to play the keyboard again. Praise God that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to transition into an assisted living facility that feels much like home. While my insurance will cover most of the cost, I am responsible for the remaining portion, including the deposit and ongoing monthly expenses. Additionally, I need support for personal items essential for daily living. This transition is vital for my continued recovery and well-being, and I am reaching out to my church family, friends, and loved ones for help.
Your support, whether through a donation or continued prayers, means the world to me. Anything you can give will be deeply appreciated and will help me continue on the path to healing. Thank you for standing with me during this time and for sowing a seed into a worthy cause.
