Support Kathy's Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

Dear friends of Kathy,

As many of you know, Kathy’s kidneys have not been functioning properly to eliminate fluids. As the fluids have been collecting in her stomach, on Monday she had a procedure where they placed tubes in her stomach and drained 2.5 liters of the built up fluid. As she was feeling better, she went in on Tuesday and had a blood test done to find out what the levels of her kidney function were. On Wednesday the doctor called and said that her kidney function was way down and she needed to report to ER immediately. She was admitted into the hospital that Wednesday and Thursday had a procedure to have stints put in both kidneys to see if they could get the fluid to drain. As this looked to be successful at first, more testing was done and unfortunately the kidney function again began to fail. Tonight she had a procedure where they put tubes in each kidney through her back that will drain the fluid into catheters. We just got news that the procedure went well and the kidneys are draining the fluid.

Sadly, Tim and Kathy received news that they tested the fluid that was removed from the stomach and it showed Kathy has stage 4 breast cancer. Although this news was a shock, Kathy is determined to keep fighting. Please keep Kathy in your thoughts and prayers.
