My name is Susan Rubin and along with Anthony Polcino am reaching out for assistance on behalf of our co worker and beloved friend Kathy Bernard. Kathy has been our LPN at Mountain Valley Orthopedics for over 20 years. She has dedicated her life to thousands of patients with the utmost amount of care and compassion. Unexpectedly on February 11, 2026 Kathy was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, an aggressive liver cancer. With this life altering diagnosis, Kathy has been incurring hospitalizations and ot patient treatment both of which are exorbitantly expensive. As a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and friend she has always been the first to help others. As she must now focus on her own treatment and recovery, the uncovered costs of hospital bills, the cost of daily living coupled with the loss of income has become too much of a burden. We are joining together to support her during this incredibly difficult time so that we can ensure that she can focus on healing without financial stress.
