Support Kathryn & Dakota After Tragic Heartbreaking Loss

Mother's Day was an especially sad and solemn time for Kathryn Wooley and Dakota Thibodeaux...On May 5, 2025 Lily James Thibodeaux was born, weighing in at 7.6 lbs. A perfectly beautiful child. Except something was wrong, terribly wrong. Lily's umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and it had cut off the oxygen she needed to live. She fought her hardest for 4 days but the injury to her brain was too great. Sadly Lily James Thibodeaux passed on May 9th at 8:28pm. She’s gone but will never be forgotten. Lily was loved by so many already.

The Mother's Day that Kathryn & Dakota dreamed of was shattered. The birth experience that this young couple prayed for was a blur of disbelief, fear and a hard fought battle that could not be won. This tragedy left in its wake hardship that no young adults should have to face.

We can't soften the blow of grief that this family has to bear, but we can help them with some of the related trauma of financial stress that this medical emergency and Lily's funeral will create for Kathyrn and Dakota.

This fund raising effort is being hosted by me, Cindy Bloodsworth Jeanis, along with other friends who have long loved for and cared about the Wooley family. They are a resilient bunch of women but this blow has taken a heavy toll and will take a long time from which to recover.
