Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

It has been a week since the tragic fires began sweeping through Southern California.

I am writing this on behalf of my mother, who has lost her Paradise by the seas. The fires took everything!

Her apartment complex on Sunset and PCH was destroyed.

I never would have imagined being in this position, asking for help like this. Those that know Kat, know how well she prepares, plans, and communicates. It happened so fast.

Everything she owned is destroyed. The community that surrounded her and lifted her spirits daily, gone.

The places she met and socialized with friends, vanished in the blink of an eye.

While so many are hurting and struggling, I am asking you to please help lift Kathleen during these difficult times.

If you can donate or share this fundraiser with others, it would mean the world to me and my family.

Immediate funds will support a move to a new community and cover moving expenses and temporary housing. It will support the replacement of essentials, clothing, and daily home furnishing needs.

Asking for support is not easy; it is extremely humbling.
