Aloha everyone! I am making this fundraiser for my lovely mom, Kathleen, to help support her with her medical bills.

My mom was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer earlier this year. She underwent two surgeries: the first one was to take out the cancer and the affected lymph nodes, and the second to put in her port for chemotherapy. Unfortunately, she was let go from her job of 15 years the day after her first round of chemotherapy. Although very sudden, she was able to hold down the fort with whatever savings she had left to pay for insurance out of pocket and other bills, with help from myself and my dad. November 24th marked the end of her treatment, and she is now happily considered cancer-free!

Unfortunately, there were a few setbacks for us. Her insurance ran out, and on December 3rd, she was rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed with sepsis due to cellulitis because of her breast cancer. Additionally, doctors found a blood clot in her jugular vein due to the cancer treatment. She was hospitalized for 4 days where she was on IV antibiotics, and recently came back home where she is being treated with oral medication.

Although she is on the road to recovery, we are currently being faced with expenses that is difficult for us to handle on our own. We are grateful and blessed for any support that comes our way, wether it is donations, sharing, words of encouragement or a simple prayer. Thank you all for the love and support you have shown my mom and our family, it means the world to us!
