It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of John Rockmore on the afternoon of March 29, 2025. A beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, John dedicated his life to coaching, guiding and inspiring countless youth athletes on and off the field. As a passionate football coach, he not only helped shape the future of the game but also instilled values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance in all who played under his guidance.

John was deeply involved in the community, always offering a hand to those in need and serving as a pillar of strength within his church, Belmont Heights United Methodist Church. Whether it was volunteering at events, organizing youth programs, or providing support to families, he was someone everyone could count on.

In addition to the loss of her husband, Kathleen Rockmore is now navigating the difficult task of caring for their son Tristan, while still serving the community. Kathleen has been an essential part of Belmont Heights United Methodist Church, where she has worked and led the Children's Ministry program. She has been an integral part of Meals on Wheels and the annual Make A Difference Day area wide volunteer day. Additionally, she has dedicated herself to the collaborative mission of Being The Church, which serves the entire Long Beach community. Her unwavering commitment to others reflects the same love and service that defined her late husband's life.

In this time of profound loss, we are reaching out to family, friends, and the wider community for support. Kathleen and Tristan face the difficult strain of funeral costs, medical expenses, and ongoing needs. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease these burdens and allow them to continue honoring John's memory while receiving the support they so deeply deserve.
