Support Kathleen and her family during her medical recovery

I humbly come to you all with a request for help for my dear friend, Kathleen. In just three weeks, Kathleen will be undergoing a complete hysterectomy which includes the removal of a large mass on her ovary that landed her in the hospital for 5 days with sepsis in September. Kathleen has been battling endometriosis and adenomyosis for years now. The conditions are debilitating and often leave her bedridden. With her being a single mother of three, I can’t imagine the stress and pressure these circumstances have caused her. Despite the pain I witness her experience day in and day out, she still works hard everyday to ensure her children are cared for. She pushes through intense pain and discomfort to work in the community helping those that need a listening ear and a caring heart. But here’s the kicker, she does not have any option for PTO. Kathleen either works or she doesn’t get paid and that is why I am asking for your help.

Everyone that knows my best friend knows that she has the biggest heart and loves hard. I have no doubt she would do anything to help me if I was in need. I want for Kathleen to be able to take the month off of work that is needed for her rest and recovery, but I also know that four weeks without work means no income to help care for her three children. I want to help her feel secure in knowing she’ll have money for groceries, utility bills and any incidental expenses that may arise in the month of February. I want for this healing process to be as smooth and stress free as possible for her!
