On August 20th, 2025, Gary Anderson lost his battle with brain cancer. It came on quickly and was over before any of us could really process what was happening. In just a matter of months, my mom and stepdad's world got turned upside down. All of their normal routines and plans came to a halt when he was diagnosed. He had several hospitalizations, treatments, tests, brain surgery, and rehabilitation before cancer finally took him from us. During that time, my mother, Kathie Anderson, was so overwhelmed with all of the emotions and appointments that she didn't even have a moment to contemplate what she would do if he did not pull through. And here we are now. She is brokenhearted and untethered. To add to it, there are stacks of medical bills piling up and now final expenses. Gary also had to quit working several months ago, and they were struggling to get by on just their social security checks. It has been a rough several months, to say the least.
I am here on her behalf, asking that if you can help - even just a little - it would be appreciated more than you could ever imagine. Our family is not about handouts... but this is more than any of us can do on our own.
Thank you.
