Our dear friend and team member Kathe is facing something no one should ever have to endure.

Just after Christmas, Kathe started feeling unwell. She quickly lost over 30 pounds and knew something wasn’t right. After many appointments and tests, we received the devastating news: Kathe has stage 4 stomach and esophageal cancer. Even more heartbreaking, the cancer has already spread to other areas of her body.

Kathe is young, vibrant, and full of life. She moved to the U.S. with her fiancé to work, travel, and build a future. But now, instead of adventure and joy, she faces a painful and uncertain road ahead.

Through it all, Kathe continues to amaze us with her strength. She is in constant pain, exhausted, and yet never complains. She still shows the same kindness, humility, and gentle spirit that have always defined her.

Kathe isn’t just an employee—she’s family. She has helped us in so many ways over the years, including watching our children and being a true friend. With no family here in the U.S., Sarah and I feel called to stand in the gap and make sure Kathe and her fiancé don’t face this alone.

We’re raising money to help cover medical expenses, everyday needs, and hopefully a few moments of peace and joy in the time she has left. Every dollar will go directly toward giving Kathe comfort, dignity, and love in this rough chapter of life.
