Support Katherine's Journey to a New Smile
Donation protected
Eleven years ago, on March 17, 2014, 25-year-old Katherine received a diagnosis no one wants to hear:
1) You have Stage 2 Breast Cancer;
2) A mastectomy is recommended for your best survival chances;
3) Post-mastectomy, IV chemotherapy for 6 months; AND
4) A once-daily tamoxifen pill to keep the cancer away.
Fast forward 11 years, and Katherine is cancer-free thanks to the tamoxifen! BUT tamoxifen’s ugly side effects destroyed her tooth enamel. Attempts to save her teeth were unsuccessful. One by one, her teeth were surgically removed. Her most recent oral surgery was on December 9, 2024, at which time her remaining teeth were pulled and implants inserted. On December 10th, she received her New Smile/New Teeth.
Goal: $40,000
Anything over the 40K will be donated to the MT Dental Association's fund that provides dental care to individuals in need.
