Support Katherine's Breast Cancer Healing Journey

Hi friends,

Our dear friend Katherine has been on a breast cancer healing journey since the summer, and we are humbly asking for your support via prayers and donations if you are able.

As you can imagine, receiving a cancer diagnosis is a shocking experience, and Katherine has kept this news close to her chest since her initial diagnosis in July. As she has now completed surgery #1, one of the more challenging milestones in her healing journey, her loved ones are encouraging her to share her story and ask for support from the many who love her so much.

Thankfully, she got into the Mayo and has been working with a stellar team to ensure she will be able to continue making us laugh and helping us heal for decades to come. The cancer type and prognosis is promising given the treatment plan she has chosen, and it will require multiple surgeries and continued checks every 6 months to ensure it is effective. Our dear friend is in the midst of an unexpected and challenging journey, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

If you’re reading this, you likely have been touched by Katherine’s strong, beautiful spirit at some point in your life. You’ve experienced her fierce grace, the way she shows up for her doula and postpartum clients and has supported women in the many ups and downs of life; the way she always gets you to crack a smile no matter what she’s going through. Katherine is a mama bear to all those she loves and will protect them fearlessly.

As a single mother and sole provider, Katherine runs her own business that requires her to be onsite supporting doula and Craniosacral clients. She has not been able to work as of late, and the mounting medical bills in addition to living expenses have created financial stress that is not conducive to her healing. We are humbly asking for your support to take some of the load off for her and her family as she heals.

Her costs include:

- Medical bills for the diagnosis, treatment, 2 surgeries minimum including her recent bilateral mastectomy

- Recovery time (4 months lost work minimum)

- Living expenses: rent, groceries, car payments, insurance, utilities, for her and her daughter
