Katherine Weimer was diagnosed with ALS on October 23, 2022. Prior to her diagnosis she lovingly taught Kindergarten. She began to develop speech issues making her job more challenging but Katherine never gave up. She continued to teach for three years while searching for answers. It took doctors four years to finally arrive at the devastating diagnosis. Katherine was forced to retire from her beloved profession.
Today Katherine can no longer speak, walk, and has lost the ability to use her arms. Katherine requires 24 hour care. She communicates using a eyegaze device and recently learned how to drive her power chair with her eyes. Katherine struggles with transportation issues, leaving her unable to leave her home.
All donations will go toward funding Katherine's care and purchasing transportation to improve Katherine's quality of life. Above all Katherine asks for your prayers.
