It’s me, Kate Van Cantfort. I am the head designer and ‘farmer’ at Southerlee Farm & Design. I am a long-time solo momma to one kid. I am a sustainable/regenerative/permaculture flower and herb farmer, garden and floral designer, and sustainable living ‘coach’. I have a 6.5-acre farmette in rural Aiken County, SC.

Your support will help me remove the damaged HVAC and vents, install a woodstove and mini splits. Help pay for a new well to dug that will be up to code. Help with day-to-day operations on the farm.

I need help. Two hail storms in May damaged my elderly well and pump and took out my HVAC. Helene took out my fall crops for weddings and herb harvests. I finally had my internet restored 66 days after Helene hit.

I am looking to add a small retail shop on the farm. I have other hopes and plans, but I need heat and consistent water before I can tackle the hopes and dreams part of this grand plan.

I offer help and advice to people without ever seeing payment. This fundraiser is mostly a vehicle for folks who would like to share some financial support when there isn’t something to ‘buy’ from me.

I am always open to angel investors and looking for help on workdays at the farm if you want to know other ways to support and connect.
