My name is Katelyn, I’m 24 years old and my son’s name is Khayden. He is 4 years old. In April 2023 I allowed Khaydens father visitation, in which he never returned my baby . Since then, I’ve been fighting a never-ending battle to get my baby returned home to me.

I’m fighting this battle alone. It has drained me mentally physically and financially . For work I clean houses and I was doing pretty well catching up with my expenses until my car went down. Without my car, it makes it almost impossible to continue the line of work I’ve been doing. With very little luck, finding any openings in any other fields of work..

If I’m able to get my car back up, all will be okay and my ball will keep rolling…But if I’m unable to get the car up soon, I’m very scared it will be weaponized against me in the court room, although I’ve never been without a vehicle in my life.

I have been on my own since 15 years old and I have provided for my every want and need alone. But this time I need help. People say it takes a village and I really need that village right now. If I had family to turn to, I would, but I don’t unfortunately..

Everything I’m doing, I do it for my baby.

I have missed irreplaceable milestones in my sons life and I refuse to keep missing them . It’s torture .

Without a vehicle, visitation has been incredibly difficult on me . Using uber has keep my finances tight and restricts what income I am receiving . I know if I can get my car up everything will flourish ! I have made it so far in this journey I refuse to let a broken down car stop me . I believe god has a bigger plan for me and my baby.
